The James Kilton Memorial Scholarship is a tribute to an extraordinary educator, mentor, and friend, Mr. James Kilton. For nearly two decades, Mr. Kilton, affectionately known as "Mr. Kilton," inspired students with his passion for teaching and his unwavering dedication to their success. As a math teacher at multiple Premier High Schools, he turned what many saw as a challenging subject into an enjoyable and empowering experience for countless students. Mr. Kilton’s classroom was a space filled with learning, laughter, and encouragement. His innovative teaching methods, patient guidance, and genuine care made mathematics accessible and engaging for all. Known for his humble nature and infectious enthusiasm, he left an indelible mark on students and colleagues alike, always ready with a kind word and a warm smile that made every student feel valued. To honor Mr. Kilton’s legacy and continue his mission of empowering students, we are proud to announce the James Kilton Memorial Scholarship. This $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to one deserving graduate of Premier High School in Amarillo, Texas, until the fund is depleted.

To apply for the James Kilton Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
Enrollment: Applicants must have been a student during the current school year at Premier High School - Amarillo.
Teacher / Staff Sponsor: Applicants must have a staff member who is willing to sponsor them.
Application Form: Applicants must complete the official scholarship application form below and submit it before the specified deadline of May 10th of the current school year.
The scholarship recipient will be chosen by a committee comprising of members of the Premier Amarillo Scholarship Fund. Applications will be evaluated based on the applications and the sponsorship teachers incite.
